"I am that I am"

Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for your patience. Lynn and Heidi have been hard at work reformatting LUNAPHASES, so it's bigger, better and even more applicable. We are gearing up for a full-fledged return with a new approach and format!

Meanwhile, today is the New Moon in Leo. The phrase for Leo is "I am that I am."

It's all about identity, courage and the heart! And it's about shining fearlessly into the world. It's not a time to hide your light.

Thanks!
Lynn and Heidi Rose

We're taking a little hiatus...

We'll be back July 2nd with the new moon in Cancer.

Meanwhile, know that the phrase for Gemini is "I see my other self and in the waning of that self, I grow and glow."

See what that brings up for you over this month!

With much appreciation and love,
Lynn and Heidi

TAURUS - The Full Moon of Light and Beauty REALIZED

Taurus Full Moon -- TAKE 2: It's not so much a repeat as a second chance to go deeper into your ability to let go of the old ways of perceiving yourself and others. The next two weeks are the time to delve further inward for your true beauty with the second Full Moon in Taurus and the Hand Analysis skill set of Sensual Connection to Source.

TAURUS -- The Full Moon of Light and Beauty REALIZED
Monday, May 19, 2008, 7:11 pm PDT

============================================

Surprise, Surprise! There are two full moons in Taurus this year. (This caught LUNAPHASES by surprise -- we were ready to move on to Gemini at the end of the New Moon of Taurus... …not so fast!)

Occasionally, two Full Moons will occur during one sun sign cycle. Currently, this creates an amazing opportunity to deepen your connection to the Taurus energies. Now is the time to manifest beauty and light on a daily level in your life. This second full moon asks for real, practical confirmation and commitment.

Again, the phrase for Taurus is "I see and when the eye is opened, all is illumined." Do you truly see? What do you choose to see? Do you see what is actually before you or what you expect to see because you have always looked in the same way?

From a Hand Analysis perspective now is the time to combine the skill sets from the past two LUNAPHASES; Permeability and Living Through the Five Senses. We will call this hybrid the skill set of Sensual Connection to Source.

This is the skill set that gives you a handle on accessing a deeper sense of the world's beauty.

Here's how it works:
Given -- The degree to which you recognize beauty and acceptance in yourself is the degree to which you will see it in everything and everyone around you.

Conversely -- The degree to which you judge and find fault in yourself determines how you judge and find fault in others.

These next two weeks provide a heightened opportunity for you to side step your old, limiting patterns of perception so you can introduce and integrate new, broader ones.

During the Full Moon, it is time to turn inward.

Try this:
Notice over the next two weeks the situations in which you feel the most accepting and loving of yourself. Notice how effortless your experience is. Notice your location. Notice your company.

Also, notice where you are when you feel the most critical of yourself. Notice how much energy you focus on yourself and your faults. Notice your location. Notice your company.

When you effortlessly experience your true self is when you bring your light and beauty into the world.

If you need a little inspiration -- just look out your window.

There’s no denying it -- it is spring.

Even in New York City the lilacs bloom. The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens is home to 150 different varieties of lilacs from all over the world. Every May, for about two weeks, this garden explodes with purple and white blossoms and draws in crowds of people of all ages and nationalities. It is glorious. And the fragrance is intoxicating. Many, many people stick their nose in a bush and move on to the next -- inhaling deeply and comparing bouquets. It's like a human pollination experiment.

About a month ago, you may have said, "Yes, yes, I need more of this. I need to wake up, take a walk and appreciate this life I'm living." But have you done so? Are you taking practical steps to welcome a more enlightened way of living into your days?

We are preparing for the Full and New moon of Gemini, both of which have much to do with goodwill and the unification of humanity. The more we take responsibility for adding to the light in our lives -- the joy, the love, the beauty, the intuition-based living -- the more we prepare ourselves to truly work together as one.

During this profound second Taurus full moon, insist on seeing beneath the presentation. See the beauty dancing beneath the obvious.

Coming up on the Horizon:
It's the gathering of like-minded souls for the betterment of the world with the New Moon in Gemini on June 3rd and the Hand Analysis skill set of Making a Worldly Impact. (Really -- we mean it this time.)

Let us know what you have incorporated into your life. Let us know how your life is moving forward. We would love to hear from you (just email us or leave us a comment here on this blog)!

TAURUS -- The New Moon of Beauty and Light

The beauty of forward motion: The next two weeks are the perfect time to activate forward movement in your life -- sustained by accessing your sensuality with the New Moon in Taurus and the Hand Analysis Skill set of Living Through the Five Senses.

TAURUS -- The New Moon of Beauty and Light
Monday, May 5, 2008, 5:18 am PDT

============================================

Your day has begun. You're getting out of bed. Stop. Breathe. Look at something beautiful. Perhaps your eye lands on a picture in your room. Perhaps you have flowers in a vase. You can even close your eyes and imagine something or someone beautiful. Take three deep breaths, focusing on your heart. And only now, go make your English muffin.

The New Moon in Taurus offers the opportunity to stabilize and replenish through beauty. Venus is the ruler of Taurus and offers the natural world or the beauty of the physical world as one of the most bounteous and lovely ways to replenish the spirit. Beauty! Beauty! Beauty! Breathe it in.

The key with Taurus is that once you have really SEEN the beauty that underlies everything and once you are filled with that beauty, you can't help but be irresistibly moved forward on a particularly beautiful path. Vulcan (an undiscovered planet) is the soul-centered ruler of Taurus and it is a planet that powerfully impresses us with will and power. It constructively and steadfastly aids our purpose. Each of is here for a reason, after all. Each of us has a gift of light to offer. Vulcan offers the power of persistence and strength to actually do something.

Now is the time for forward movement in your life. Hand Analysis offers the perfect skill set to help sustain that movement. Living through the five senses. In Hand Analysis, we look at beauty as a visceral expression of your five senses; sight, smell, sound, touch and taste.

Here's how it works: Your sustained forward motion lasts only as long as you are able to feed your five senses -- literally -- by living sensually.

Think of it as taking your multi-vitamin in the morning to help sustain you through your day.

Nurturing your sensuality is not a luxury. Feeding your five senses is a vital part of your daily life.

Don't let this happen to you: Burnout.

You know the symptoms; exhaustion, resentment, feeling that you -- and only you -- are carrying the world on your shoulders. It is very common to see this in our clients. Well-intentioned folk who are working their butts off to try to get ahead -- and sacrificing self-care in the process.

Recently, Lynn attended a baby shower for a wonderfully popular mom-to-be. There were 40 women there to celebrate. What struck Lynn was how focused the women were -- seemingly they were all in the working business world. The shower was scheduled during a mid-week lunch hour. The topic of conversation was about their jobs and careers. Then they settled down to watch the guest of honor open her presents. It was amazing how the energy in the room shifted with every box that was opened. There was a collective sigh, ooh, ahh, as each booty, blanket, towel and robe was revealed. It was a visceral experience. It was clear -- these women were hardwired to provide wonderful, loving, soft, eye-pleasing, clean-smelling, sweet-sounding, safe items with careful consideration of an infant's sensory experience. Somewhere along the line, there is a disconnect between understanding how vital that is for a baby and addressing the same needs in adulthood.

The next two weeks are the perfect time to build a stronger connection to nurturing your sensuality.

Try this:

Write down a list of your five senses:

• Sight
• Sound
• Smell
• Touch
• Taste

Now, take three deep breaths and settle in.

Next to each sense listed, write down the things that give you the strongest responses in that area.

• For Sight, it may be your favorite colors or favorite types of light -- sunlight, moonlight, candle light.

• For Sound, it may be bird songs, Spanish classical guitar music or the constant sound of planes flying overhead. (When Lynn's family moved from Queens, NY to a quiet town, her 7-year-old brother wasn't able to go to sleep without the sound of planes at night.)

• For Smell, it may be lilacs, rose, sandalwood, baking apple pie, BBQ ribs.

• For Touch, it may be your sheets or towels or lukewarm water.

• For Taste, it may be melted chocolate, fresh blueberries, homemade whipped cream, BBQ ribs.

Ask yourself how you can incorporate your favorite things into your daily life. The next two weeks provide extra support in this area. Now is the time to act.

Let us know what you have incorporated into your life. Let us know how your life is moving forward. It's a very exciting time now. We would love to hear from you (just email us or leave us a comment here on this blog)!

TAURUS -- The Full Moon of Beauty and Light

Gateway to humanity: These next two weeks are infused with the energy of listening to your own inner wisdom with the Full Moon in Taurus and the Hand Analysis skill set of Permeability.

TAURUS -- The Full Moon of Beauty and Light
Sunday, April 20, 2008, 3:25 am PDT

============================================

The Taurus Full Moon is considered the most sacred of all twelve full moons. Taurus is the sign of illumination and enlightenment. The journey of Taurus is one of eventually "seeing the light."

Anyone heard of the God Vulcan? Well, there's an undiscovered planet out there called Vulcan and it's deeply connected to Taurus. Vulcan is the blacksmith of the Gods, forging us into shape. Vulcan prepares the form (us!) so that it can hold greater and greater light. It clears the obstructions we all carry (Old thoughts! Old emotional behaviors!) so that we can make way for new, more refined, more beautiful ways of experiencing the world.

The phrase for Taurus is "I see and when the eye is opened, all is illumined." The journey of Taurus allows us to open the third eye of intuition and teaches us to appreciate the innate beauty in everything and everyone. In Taurus, we see a deeper truth -- something beyond the physical world -- a world of light, a world of love, a world of power used well. It teaches us to listen more deeply to the voice of intuition. It teaches us to listen to our own inner wisdom.

Hand Analysis offers the perfect skill set to receive our own inner wisdom. The skill set is Permeability and it is connected to the Neptune mound. The Neptune Mound is located at the base of the palm, bordering the wrist, in the center of the hand. Google is a good source for this aspect of Hand Analysis -- but if you have questions regarding your hands, give Lynn a shout. http://wwwyourlifeisinyourhands.com/

The Neptune mound symbolizes the point of differentiation between your individual self and the collective unconscious, or the "greater light." This is where you tap into inspirational thoughts and ideas. This is where your connection to your dreams live. This is where your artistic expression is rooted. This is the gateway to the rest of humanity.

These next two weeks are the perfect time for you to tap into this wisdom on a deeper level.

Here are two very different ways to get in there. Try this:

You will need a candle, a dark room and a comfortable place to sit and a journal. Give yourself a half hour of uninterrupted time.

1. Set yourself up in a comfortable seated position -- in an area free of clutter.

2. Place the candle on a table or on the floor directly in front of you, about two feet away.

3. Create as much darkness in the room as possible.

4. Light the candle.

5. Looking at the flame, take three deep long breaths. Remember to start with the exhale -- completely emptying out your lungs.

6. Now, continuing to look into the flame, begin to observe the candle's physical components. Observe the top of the flame. Observe the color of the bottom of the flame. Observe where the wick is exposed. Observe as much as you can. An observation is "the top of the flame is lighter than the bottom," "the burned wick is black" or "the shape of the flame is tear-dropped."

Caution -- there is no judgment here. A judgment is a thought that places your personal bias over the observation. Like "I like the color of the candle," "the flame isn't big enough" or "I feel ridiculous."

Just so you can feel the difference, experiment with a string of judgment statements. Go ahead and make as many judgments as you can about the candle.

7. Now, go back to the observations. You can use the same ones you used before.

8. Now, in the place of observation -- tap into your own wisdom. Ask yourself the questions you would pose to a spiritual teacher.

9. When you are ready, turn on a light and free-write on your question. If you did not have a questions, then free-write on your experience of going into observance.

It is when you are in a place of observation that the gateway to the "greater light" is open. This is something you can do every day. Try it when you are in a business meeting. Try it when you are stuck in traffic. Try it when you are on hold with your credit card company.

And now -- for something completely different and far more Vulcan:

Some of you respond better to pushing through your physical boundaries, to the point of exhaustion -- which also opens up the gateway to the "greater light." Try this:

You will need to wear comfortable sneakers and a sturdy bra, if you wear one. You will also need a timer and a journal.

Jumping Jacks. Yes. Jumping Jacks.

Six (6) minutes. Without stopping.

Perform Jumping Jacks for six minutes strait. When you get tired -- keep going!... even if you have to modify them -- don't stop moving. Push yourself through the point where you want to stop. Push yourself through the point where your body is telling you to stop. Keep going until the timer goes off.

Once the timer goes off, walk around for a minute to regulate your heart rate.

Now take three very deep breaths -- starting with the exhale. Completely empty your lungs.

Pick up your journal and start to free-write. As yourself the questions you would ask a wise teacher.

The Taurean choice is always one of values. What will you choose to see? The world of materiality and things or the world of beauty and light? And of course it's possible to see beauty in the manifested world! It's abundant! But we also have the opportunity in the time of Taurus to see clearly and deeply the beauty that interpenetrates everything and everyone.

Share with us what you are manifesting. We would love to hear (just email us or leave us a comment here on this blog)!

ARIES -- The New Moon of Initiative

"COW-A-BUN-GA!" The next two weeks are the perfect time to jump in and fearlessly tackle the projects you really want -- during the New Moon in Aries and with Hand Analysis energy of Courage and Fortitude.

ARIES -- The New Moon of Initiative
Sunday, April 6, 2008, 7:55 pm PDT

============================================

Heidi's father -- an Aries to be sure -- has always lived his life responding to a chorus of "You can't possibly do that!" with "Who says? Why not? I'm starting right now." He plunges forward into seemingly impossible situations determined to create that which did not exist before. As a result, he is the founder of his own University.

Aries is always moving forward and always has a new idea about how to create something that has never existed or change something that's grown stagnant. An Aries is heard to cry again and again, "What should I begin next? What should I initiate? What should I spearhead, lead, pioneer? What does not exist now that I can CREATE?!"

There is a Hand Analysis marking that taps us into this energy perfectly. It is called the Mars Star. To locate it, look for an intersection of at least three lines on the fleshy part of the edge of your palm, just below the knuckle at the base of your pointer (Jupiter) finger. Don't worry if you don’t see one. This will apply to everyone.

This marking represents the innate courage and fortitude that you posses. Now is the time to use it.

During the Full Moon of Aries, we had you turn inward and reflect on the areas of your life that are the most challenging and that require the most courage to tackle.

Now is the time to get in there and tackle one of your challenges that speaks to you the loudest.

It is time to access your inner warrior.

Try this:

Think about what you really want to take on.

Now -- keeping that in mind…

Access your Martian energy by getting into your body -- let out a pipe-cleansing scream. Punch pillow until you exhaust yourself. Go to a batting cage and hit some baseballs. Take up a martial art. Or if you practice yoga, engage in Warrior I, II or II for three minutes.

Harness that energy to take on what you really want. Defy the message that you can't.

Lynn -- by the way -- is also an Aries. That's how she can initiate LUNAPHASES, create systems in her work environment, and quickly climb the ladder to becoming a television producer. She has traveled solo throughout Central America, South America and Europe. Earlier this month, she pushed herself to her physical limit while running a marathon. This has given her the power to take on her next battle: to live a joyful life. She is currently restructuring her time to only be in situations where she feels seen, heard and acknowledged for the gifts she has to offer. Compared to where she was five years ago, her life is far more joyful. (She also celebrated her birthday by taking a handful of friends to a batting cage.)

From an Astrological perspective, the rather esoteric phrase for Aries is "I come forth and from the plane of mind, I rule." And the beauty of Aries is that once the idea exists, there is no shortage of courage to implement that very idea. Aries -- sometimes foolishly -- jump head-first into each new project with all the gusto, naiveté and bravado of a 14-year-old boy. Most of us need a little more gumption. Most of us need to call out a big "Who says? Why not? I'm starting right now!" to the universe -- or ourselves.

So during this Null Moon of Initiative... take some! Initiative, that is! Burst through the winter ice of your life to some new Spring. Breathe in the power of the new, the power of the idea that might change your life completely. Try saying something outrageous as you do it... like "cow-a-bunga!"

Announcing:

LUNAPHASES Live!

LUNAPHASES can be so lonely if you have nobody to share them with! But no more.

Introducing a monthly gathering in Los Angeles to actively celebrate the principles discussed in LUNAPHASES.

On the Tuesday evening following each Full Moon, we meet at various locations designed to inspire your creative energy.

Lynn and Heidi will introduce the monthly topic. We'll suggest how to integrate the ideas into your life. You get to share your own ideas and inspirations.

It's a meeting of the minds and hearts and people like you -- who benefit from genuine interaction and support. More to come...

Share with us what you are manifesting. We would love to hear (just email us or leave us a comment here on this blog)!

ARIES -- The Full Moon of Initiative

SPRING BREAK! The next two weeks stir up the initiative to break through the surface of the winter frost with the Full Moon in Aries and Hand Analysis access to the energy of Mars.

============================================

It's no mistake that Aries is the first sign of the zodiac. We need this energy to begin a new cycle. We need the energy to burst into Spring and blossom anew.

Anyone remember the childhood game "Red Rover, Red Rover"? We'd form two lines facing one another, but a good 25 feet apart. Each line would join hands and then someone from one line would yell, "Red Rover, Red Rover -- send Heidi over!" Then Heidi would come running like wildfire over to what she perceived was the weakest link in the hand chain and attempt to crash through.

Arms were aching. Bellies were bruised, but Heidi loved Red Rover.

Heidi is an Aries -- so this makes sense. Aries LOVE to burst through obstacles. Daring is their middle name. The desire to pioneer, to chart unknown territory, to be brave, courageous and powerful -- this is how an Aries thrives. Aries are competitive, aggressive and a little cocky.

In Hand Analysis, there is a marking in the hand that perfectly exemplifies the forward motion of Aries. It is called the Mars Star. To locate it, look for an intersection of at least three lines on the fleshy part of the edge of your palm, just below the knuckle at the base of your pointer (Jupiter) finger. Don't worry if you don't see one. This will apply to everyone.

This marking represents the courageous part of you. This is part of yourself where you garner the capacity to take on your biggest challenges. Over the next month, notice how you take on the hard stuff.

The Full Moon is the time for inner reflection.

Try this:

Circle the most challenging aspects of your life:

* Bringing things to completion
* Standing in your own power
* Your sense of self worth
* Expressing your creativity and individuality
* Communicating your experience
* Expressing yourself honestly in the moment

Over the next two weeks notice -- just notice -- where do your battles show up? Usually, they show up around the most difficult themes in your life. Are you surrounded by rageful and belligerent people? Do you feel full of rage yourself? Just notice.

Go ahead and write about your experiences. How do they make you feel? What would you really like to tell someone / insurance company / landlord / boss / family member/ credit card company / internal revenue service / heads of state?

In our next issue, during the New Moon in Aries, we’ll talk about how to access your courage to take on the battles... the right battles for you.

Share with us what you are manifesting. We would love to hear (just email us or leave us a comment here on this blog)! This month we'd love to share the great note we got from Zak.

Coming up on the Horizon:
We jump into forward motion in the New Moon of Aries and Hand Analysis access to the take-no-prisoners energy of Mars.

Zak's Solar Dreams

We recently received this note about manifestation -- Lynn responds below:

Dear Lynn and Heidi,

Your LUNAPHASES newsletter is inspirational and a joy to read. I often share it with friends and always enjoy it even when I'm not quite sure how to carry out your wise advice. In your last installment you wrote "Share with us what you are manifesting." And so here I try.

Three years ago my husband and I set out in our 1969 VW Combi to Mexico where we discovered Guanajuato, one of the world's magical cities. Set high in the Sierra mountains of Central Mexico, Guanajuato was once the world's largest silver producer and the wealthiest city in Mexico, and the site of Mexico's victorious battle against Spain in the War of Independence. In its first hey day its population reached 90,000 but then dwindled down to under 8,000 after the Revolution in 1910. Despite its stunning Colonial architecture and spectacular natural setting, as recently as the 1960's Guanajuato was almost a ghost town. In the last 50 years, however, it has regained its stature. Today it has surpassed its previous population peak. Now a cultural Mecca, it is home to the 20,000 students of one of Mexico's most well-regarded universities, a symphony orchestra, the State government, and a plethora of music, theater, dance and art. It is one of those magical cities where people are always kissing in the streets.

It has, on average, 353.2 days of sunshine every year.

My dream is to make Guanajuato the world's first Solar City; a leader in the World War for Energy Independence. I want to take Guanajuato off the grid. Guanajuato can lead the world in our quest for freedom from oil, independence from the energy monopolies, and freedom from the toxic fumes that are choking humanity to death and making the planet an ever-hotter inferno.

Solar energy is the cleanest, safest, most reliable and potentially cheapest source of energy available. It's potential is mindboggling. In one hour the sun bathes the earth with more energy than the entire human population consumes in a year. And yet in the United States it is still one of the least funded forms of alternative energy. In this fiscal year the Department of Energy alotted $159 million to research and development of solar energy as compared to $427 million for research and development of coal driven power plants, one of the world's dirtiest energy sources and $303 million for nuclear power, one of the world's most dangerous.

Apparently the "Powers that Be" are not behind solar power. In Mexico the problems are probably just as bad if not worse. Handicapped by years of corruption, Mexico is notorious for inefficiency. While Mexico is comparably rich in oil and natural gas, this resource is owned, operated and benefitting the Mexican government. And like all developing populations, Mexicans are driven by the desire to catch up with their northern neighbor, unaware as they are of the extraordinary costs such an accomplishment would carry.

However as a cultural, intellectual and political leader in Mexico and a geographically compact city bathed in sunshine literally all year long Guanajuato is poised to be a perfect Solar City. For its size (currently about 100,000) it is rich in ambitious, forward thinking, cultural leaders. In addition its geography already makes it uniquely less car dependent than most any other city in the Americas. Built into a deep ravine, the vast majority of Guanajuato's streets are so narrow and steep they are only suitable to foot traffic. And to further limit the presence of cars within the city's narrow downtown, the majority of automobile traffic is funnelled underneath the town in a maze of great stone tunnels originally built to provide protection from flooding during the summer's torrential rains. Most significantly the city naturally developed to support its car-less population. Every community has a cluster of small stores and street vendors who sell the residents their daily needs. Getting from one side of town to the other is most often unnecessary. And lastly, when transportation is needed the city has an efficient and effective bus system - whose significant drawback is the fume billowing ancient diesel buses.

Lastly, located high in the Central Plains of Mexico, Guanajuato is surrounded by hot, dry, sun-baked desert. While creating a solar city might begin through such steps as distributing solar water heaters to every home, lighting the streets with solar streetlights, and installing photovoltaic solar panels on the city's sun-drenched rooftops, if this were not enough to meet the city's electrical needs another option exists - the creation of a solar power station. Most electricity is generated through the use of electric turbines. Nuclear power plants create heat through nuclear fusion which then boils water to drive an electric turbine. Coal power plants burn coal to boil water to drive the turbines. A solar power station would use fields of mirrors and fresnel lenses to concentrate and collect sunlight to boil water to drive the power turbines. The technology is simple and powerful.

The raw ingredients exist. As does the interest. But there my resources end, and my knowledge of how to proceed falters. I thank you both for already providing a forum in which I could focus my thoughts and my dreams - I'm sure a first step in achieving them. And I welcome any and all thoughts, ideas, encouragements and inspirations you may have on how to proceed.

Perhaps it takes the same dedication and perserverence that you, Lynn, dedicated to running your marathon - though I fear it may take such energies dedicated not for 6 months but for 6 or 16 or 26 years. And the pains may be more insidious (though far, far less debilitating) than the blisters on your feet. And I have no organized group to join! And so I sit at my computer reading articles on Solar Energy and dreaming. And hoping to find people to join in my dream.

Thanks in advance for all your thoughts and ideas.

Blessings and good wishes,
Zak

PS. Despite its diesel buses (there really aren't that many of them), the air in Guanajuato is beautifully clean making it a great place to view stars.

Wow, Zak... this is an amazing response to New Moon in Pisces with Hand Analysis skill set of clairvoyance. This seems totally channeled. And, completely inspirational. (I can't wait to your response to Aries... but I'm getting ahead of myself...)

Thank you so much for sharing this. This is exactly what we meant by inspired message for uniting community. I wonder if it would make sense to contact other organizations that have already implemented solar power into their grid. I wonder if it would make sense to contact companies that manufacture and install the solar panels. Garner wisdom from the little guys who are getting things going on a smaller scale... I wonder if it would make sense to begin some community building around this -- start holding meetings for exchange of ideas... you are clearly a very strong solo engine, and I can't imagine how powerful you'll become when you enlist the support of others... also -- I'm just thinking -- with your experience as a Director of Photography -- if you cut together a video and uploaded it on You Tube, you would instantly have an international audience.

Time to get the word out, girl... and stay tuned for the Full Moon in Aries...
Lynn

PISCES -- The New Moon of Compassion

A Magnificent Convergence: Compassion, Inspired Communication, Awakening, Groundedness... all are here for you to experience over the next two weeks with the New Moon in Pisces and Hand Analysis skill set of Clairvoyance.

PISCES -- The New Moon of Compassion
Friday, March 7, 2008, 9:14 am PST

============================================

There is an astrological blueprint -- an astrological chart -- for each moment in time. Every Full Moon and New Moon has an individual chart that captures the particular texture of that precise moment. Generally in LUNAPHASES, Heidi has focused on the qualities of the sign of the Full or New Moon and how we can cultivate the beauty of that sign more entirely.

This New Moon, however, is quite potent in its line up, making it one of the most powerful times to awaken compassionate communication that can make a real difference.

Uranus, the awakener, sits next to the New Moon and the planets Venus, Neptune and Mercury are all gathered together in Aquarius. Add to that Jupiter in Capricorn in harmony with a Taurus ascendant.

Heidi is aware most of that will sound like astrological gobbledygook, but here's the key: Uranus will awaken the compassion of Pisces. Mercury, Neptune and Venus will create a beautiful, inspired, unifying message and the earth signs of Capricorn and Taurus will make it real.

What does this mean for you?

Now that you've spent a couple of weeks in your sanctuary, it's time to emerge and offer what you discovered there -- whether to your lover, your friends or your family. It's easy to feel overwhelmed with feeling or to hide the true texture of your heart, but now is the time to offer up your inspired message. Open wide and speak the poetry of your heart.

Six months ago, in response to a LUNAPHASES call to taking on a new commitment, Lynn decided to begin training for the Los Angeles Marathon.

Lynn raised nearly $1,700 with the National AIDS Marathon organization, and the proceeds went to AIDS Project, Los Angeles, which provides vital services for 8,600 people living with HIV in the L.A. area.

On Sunday, March 2nd, Lynn ran her first marathon.

What struck Lynn the most was how so many people were brought together in this event. The metro was packed with nearly 20,000 runners at 6:30 am, to get to the start line at Universal Studios -- 20,000 strangers encouraging each other, offering advice and wishing each other good luck. The energy was incredibly positive and uplifting.

Residents in every neighborhood came out to cheer on the runners and offered oranges, bananas and water. There were traditional drummers in Koreatown, South Central and in Little Tokyo. In the poorest neighborhood on the course, they came to the sidewalk with garden hoses and sprayed down the runners. A little girl, at Mile 17, stood in the middle of the road with a big bowl of ice cubes.

Los Angeles, on that day, came together with compassion and support on a level that Lynn could have never imagined.

Also, she experienced amazing support from her friends and family. At Mile 4, one friend passed Lynn apple slices. One friend was on a bicycle and showed up at Miles 8, 12, 13, 16 and stayed with Lynn from Mile 24 to the end. Two other friends came with posters that read, "Roses are Red, Al Gore is Green. Show us your tits, you're at Mile 13." They were laden with ice water, chocolate and salty nuts. These provisions are what kept Lynn and her teammates going. And Lynn's unfailing husband rode the metro to every stop that was on the course. He ended up running with Lynn up to the finish line.

Lynn was crying from Mile 23 to the finish line. Yes, she was in pain. But, more than that -- it was that her efforts -- huge efforts -- made an impact on so many people... her friends and family, the people who donated, the people who came out to cheer, and the 8,600 people living with HIV in her city.

In Hand Analysis, there is a gift marking that unites most of the components that are in this year’s New Moon in Pisces. The marking is called the Line of Clairvoyance, which is found on your palm running from under your pinky (Mercury) finger and encasing the fleshy part of your palm. Don't worry if you don't have the line. This will apply to everyone.

This represents the part of you that has direct access to your source.

So -- what do you have in your life that connects you to what is bigger than just yourself?

Where are you when you feel most supported -- by the universe?

Notice how all judgment -- of yourself and others -- disappears.

Notice how compassion creeps in.

When you are connected to source, you become inspired.

Your experience is what we all need to hear.

Now is the time for you to reach down deep, connect to source, and share your message with the world.

Try this:

Go for a walk in nature. Look at baby pictures. Garden. Meditate.
Notice how you feel when you are connected to the world.
Notice what has been percolating, and is ready to come out.

Share with us what you are manifesting. We would love to hear. (Just email us or leave us a comment here on this blog.)

PISCES -- The Full Moon of Compassion

Surround Sound: The next two weeks are the perfect time to reflect on your internal connection to everything that surrounds us with the Full Moon in Pisces and the introduction to Hand Analysis' Line of Clairvoyance.

PISCES -- The Full Moon of Compassion

============================================

Here we are -- pre-Spring, post holidays and already two solid months into the New Year. Many of you may have begun your year with gusto. Last month, hopefully, you were exploring your true community. But now, we enter a quieter, more reflective time.

The Pisces full moon is a time to retreat and listen. That is, it's time to find your sanctuary and spend some good solid time there. Perhaps as you read this, you think, "I don't even know where or what my sanctuary is." Well, this is the month to find out. We all need to find a way to "hook up" to a source that is greater than us. Pisces not only rules that boundary-less source, it also rules the ways in which we connect with it.

For some, your sanctuary is a room in your home devoted to writing, meditating or listening. For others, your sanctuary is the beach or mountains. Heidi's husband might very well say his sanctuary is wherever he is doing his daily work-out. Pisces says, "Plug in, refuel and above all, be compassionate with yourself as you do this."

There is a marking in the hand that speaks specifically to hooking up to this source. It is called the Line of Clairvoyance and it reflects that part of you that knows you are connected to the supportive energetic network that links every living being.

The strength of your connection to this network will determine how supported you feel, how much you feel part of your surroundings, and how much your life effortlessly flows in a positive direction.

This connection can show up in a myriad of ways. It may be in that sixth sense you have with people, that lightness you feel when you meditate or how you feel when you take a walk in nature.

Sure fire signs that you have been taken out of your connection are when you feel like either you or everyone around you is a freak, and you feel stagnant in your life -- not moving forward.

The Line of Clairvoyance is a crescent-shaped line that runs the length of the palm, encasing the fleshy part of the hand beneath the pinky (Mercury) finger. Google is a good source for this aspect of palmistry. If you have questions about your paws, give Lynn a holler at www.YourLifeIsInYourHands.com.

Try this:

Sit still for a moment and settle in. Take three full long breaths. Then write down the answers to these three questions. Allow a different page for each question.

• What do I do to feel more connected to source?

• What would I like to do more of to be connected to source?

• What is in my life that keeps me connected to source?

Keep these lists nearby where you can see them and add to them over the next two weeks. No need to take any other action here. The Full Moon is the time for reflection. We'll jump into action in our next LUNAPHASES with the New Moon of Pisces.

The Full Moon of Compassion is not just about opening your heart to others and offering love. (Though Pisces IS the sign of great service and heartful offering). It is the time of the greatest compassion for yourself as you travel and witness your journey. It's a time to soften a bit and recognize that your ongoing efforts to evolve and grow are often taxing and difficult. We must all gives ourselves a collective BREAK.

So, use this Pisces moon to grow quiet, breathe deeply, listen intently and prepare for the full bursting forward momentum of Spring.

AQUARIUS -- The New Moon of Enlivened Community

Hanging with my peeps! It's a great time to build community with the New Moon in Aquarius and the Hand Analysis Skill Set of Being Yourself Within the Context of Family and Community.

The New Moon of Enlivened Community

============================================

The New Moon is the time to jump into action – and now is the time for you to find your peeps. They’re out there – so go ahead and increase your numbers.

About 10 years ago in Santa Fe, Heidi's mother went out to lunch with a few friends. They half-heartedly ordered their meals. But when it was time for desert, they all became very excited. That was when they discovered a shared love. Sweets. They chose to name themselves "The Dessert Dames." To this day, they meet once a month for lunch. Skipping the main course, they order chocolate cake. They are all juicy, creative artists. They love this group. And it nourishes them.

In Hand Analysis, there is a skill set for developing family and community. The skill needed is simply to be who you are within the context of your family and community. Simply, sure. If it were that simple, we would all be doing it, and nobody would ever feel like an outsider.

So, let's break this down into two tangible components:

1) Identify, Display and Communicate your feelings at the appropriate level in the moment that they are occurring – within the context of your family. Warning: Practicing this with your family may be the most difficult thing to do... remember that this is a skill, and all skills can be learned. The more you do it, the easier it becomes. (For a more detailed explanation of this skill set, see LUNAPHASES 2007 New Moon in Gemini – the Moon of Right Relationship.)

Notice what happens when you consider actually doing this... what are your fears? What is at stake? What do you suppose would actually happen to your family if you spoke your truth?

2) Bringing your unique identity into the room. This means sharing your own take on life – and possibly being rejected for it. Key: If you are rejected for sharing your uniqueness – These Are Not Your Peeps.

You are with your peeps when you find yourself expressing your identity without shifting or contorting yourself to fit in. Also, you will find community being drawn to you because of your unique perspectives and gifts.

This time will be particularly potent for people with markings on, or physical challenges with their Left Thumb. Google is a good source on this aspect of Hand Analysis. If you would like for Lynn to take a gander at your paws, contact her at www.YourLifeIsInYourHands.com.

From an Astrological perspective, the best thing we can do during the Aquarius New Moon is to focus on building community. This is the time to join a writing group, get on line and participate in a political forum or invite your friends who love to hike on a new adventure every Saturday morning.

The internet is ruled by Aquarius. It links us. We can share and distribute information. We can sound our note and see who responds. Sound your note. Go in search of people. Create your own forum. Or go out into the world and attend classes, a book signing or a concert.

The time is now to unite with like-minded folk who are moving forward toward what you love. Go join them.

AQUARIUS -- The Full Moon of Enlivened Community

Where are my kindred spirits… and who are these aliens surrounding me? The next two weeks are the perfect time to turn inward and focus on this question with the Full Moon in Aquarius and an introduction to the Hand Analysis Skill Set of Family and Community.

============================================

There are some weeks in Heidi's astrology practice that simply resound with a theme. Recently, Heidi saw six clients in a row that all had strong Aquarius in their charts. (That is, their sun, moon or rising sign was in Aquarius). Though the clients' issues were varied, one note consistently sounded: "I feel like a lone wolf. Where is my group?"

Aquarius is the sign of friendship, brotherhood and community. At certain times, it is the most gregarious of all signs. But the question you must ask during this month in Aquarius is: "Have I truly found my good company?"

When you are in good company, you feel you are in the presence of your peers. You feel seen. You feel heard. And, you are happy to fully see and hear others. You are inspired to share your best self and move toward what you most deeply believe.

You are not in good company when your inner monologue goes something like: "Why isn't anyone as smart, politically aware, sensitive or unique as I am?" You are not in good company when you are socializing just to be with someone besides yourself. And, most importantly, you are not in good company when you feel you have to hide your gifts or feelings so you can "blend in."

Luckily, in Hand Analysis, there is a skill set that speaks specifically to the lone wolf. This skill set is called Family and Community. We define the lone wolf experience as circling around family and community at a close distance, but not fully participating. The skill to learn is to show up as your full self within the context of family and community.

Easier said than done. It's a skill. All skills can be learned.

Try this:
Take an inventory of all of the aspects of your life: romance, career, home, how you spend your free time…

Over the next two weeks just take notice yourself around your family. Notice -- what are you willing to share about yourself and what do you keep close to the vest? Notice -- especially -- when you are having a feeling or experience -- and notice how often you express it, or choose to keep a lid on it. Just notice.

The Full Moon is the time for introspection. No need to alter your behavior. We'll jump into action in our next LUNAPHASES with the New Moon in Aquarius. Aquarius is the month when all lone wolves must find their true "pack."

This time will be particularly potent for people with markings on, or physical challenges with their Left Thumb. Google is a good source on this aspect of Hand Analysis. If you would like for Lynn to take a gander at your paws, contact her at www.YourLifeIsInYourHands.com.

We are moving into the Aquarian age during which we will be uniting in groups to better the world. During the Aquarius Full Moon, you ask yourself where -- and in what company -- you can best share your gifts. You can silently affirm that you are not alone in the world you envision.

From an Astrological perspective, the phrase for Aquarius is: "Water of Life am I poured forth for thirsty men." The water is your gift that needs to be distributed. Everyone has something to offer. And as you offer it, your good company will come and stand by your side. Pour forth.

CAPRICORN - The New Moon of Structured Ascent

Now is the time to start the climb:
These next two weeks set up the whole year with the New Moon in Capricorn and the Hand Analysis skill set of Creating a Solid Foundation.

CAPRICORN -- The New Moon of Structured Ascent
Tuesday, January 8, 2008, 3:37 am PST

============================================

Brand New Year! We're one week into 2008. The parties are over and the decorations packed up for next year. You've cleaned the house, taken a trip to Goodwill and prepared the way for the new. It's begun.

The New Moon is a time for action. Now is the time to put your plan to work. Start the series of yoga classes, call old friends, sign up for that cooking workshop. Now is the time to the brightest light in your life with steadfast commitment. There are no more excuses. It's Nike time: Just do it.

And then, give yourself props for work well done.

In Hand Analysis, we offer the skill set to Create a Solid Foundation on which to build the rest of your year and to help achieve your new goals.

There are four components to setting yourself up well with your new commitments:

1) Create Your Timeline: Nothing helps you reach your goal like a solid deadline. Putting this in place creates structure that is there to support you.

- Break your timeline down into smaller goals.
- Give each goal its own deadline.
- Breathe!

2) Discipline Yourself: When you stick to your structure, and meet each deadline, your self worth grows. This is the momentum that will help carry you through to the end.

- Warning: Distractions will pop up and jump in the way of your diligent focus. It's gonna happen. Expect it. Your job is to notice when it's happening and get back on track as soon as you can. Don't beat yourself up! A little compassion can go a long way and help you stay on track. (Often times, you'll want to stop right at the point of breaking through to the next level of your commitment. Pesky distractions are a sign that you are on the right path -- all the more reason to work through them!)

3) Spread the Good News with trusted folks who will help cheer you on. It is a very common misconception that you have to rely solely on yourself to get ahead. Abandon this belief! Team up with your peeps and share your experiences and suggestions on a regular basis! The added energy will support you!

4) Celebrate Every Step: Each step -- no matter how seemingly small -- deserves acknowledgment! This prevents burnout. Taking on a new commitment is challenging to your current belief systems. Reward yourself when you meet each goal.

Here's the key:
Itineraries are made for changing. Always be willing to reassess and tweak your structure as you go along. The most important thing here is that you are able to grow from step to step. This is what builds success. The more realistic you are about achieving each step, the more likely you are to obtain the final goal.

Try this:

- Take a look at your list of New Year's resolutions... or... now's the time to write one down, if you haven't already.

- Close your eyes and take three deep, long breaths. Focus on your inhalation. Focus on your exhalation – making sure to fully empty your lungs before inhaling again.

- Now, open your eyes and see which item on your list speaks to you the loudest.

- Write down your resolution and the first deadline on post-its and place them in as many places that you can think of around your home, car, office.

- Every two weeks, replace them with new post-its of a different color -- keeping them current with your timeline.

For example:
If your resolution is to manage your money better, the first step would be to come up with a 2008 budget by, say, January 15th. Your post-its could read, "I am managing my money better. 2008 budget by 1/15."

Then, on 1/14 you reassess where you are and change the post-its with a new short term goal, or a new budget deadline, depending on how you did.

Take on as many resolutions that you can honestly do. Prioritize them by their deadlines. Maybe it's not realistic to start them all right away. Only take on what you can accomplish.

Creating a Solid Foundation is a skill set that will particularly resonate with people who have a break in their Life Line, or a short or damaged middle (Saturn) finger. Google is a good source for information on this aspect of palmistry. For more information about your own hands, contact Lynn at YourLifeIsInYourHands.com.

From an Astrological perspective, Capricorn is all about time. So, strike now and create that schedule. Make and show up for that appointment with yourself. Show up when you said you would. Buy yourself a datebook and pencil in your date with your raison d'etre.

It's very exhilarating to do the work you know you're meant to do. And such a relief! The energy of Capricorn is your best friend in this process.

The ground's generosity takes in our compost
And grows beauty. Try to be more
      Like the ground.

Give back better, as rough clods return
An ear of corn, a tassel, a barley
Awn, this sleek handful of oats.
