TAURUS -- The Full Moon of Beauty and Light

============================================
The Taurus Full Moon is considered the most sacred of all twelve full moons. Taurus is the sign of illumination and enlightenment. The journey of Taurus is one of eventually "seeing the light."
Anyone heard of the God Vulcan? Well, there's an undiscovered planet out there called Vulcan and it's deeply connected to Taurus. Vulcan is the blacksmith of the Gods, forging us into shape. Vulcan prepares the form (us!) so that it can hold greater and greater light. It clears the obstructions we all carry (Old thoughts! Old emotional behaviors!) so that we can make way for new, more refined, more beautiful ways of experiencing the world.
The phrase for Taurus is "I see and when the eye is opened, all is illumined." The journey of Taurus allows us to open the third eye of intuition and teaches us to appreciate the innate beauty in everything and everyone. In Taurus, we see a deeper truth -- something beyond the physical world -- a world of light, a world of love, a world of power used well. It teaches us to listen more deeply to the voice of intuition. It teaches us to listen to our own inner wisdom.
Hand Analysis offers the perfect skill set to receive our own inner wisdom. The skill set is Permeability and it is connected to the Neptune mound. The Neptune Mound is located at the base of the palm, bordering the wrist, in the center of the hand. Google is a good source for this aspect of Hand Analysis -- but if you have questions regarding your hands, give Lynn a shout. http://wwwyourlifeisinyourhands.com/
The Neptune mound symbolizes the point of differentiation between your individual self and the collective unconscious, or the "greater light." This is where you tap into inspirational thoughts and ideas. This is where your connection to your dreams live. This is where your artistic expression is rooted. This is the gateway to the rest of humanity.
These next two weeks are the perfect time for you to tap into this wisdom on a deeper level.
Here are two very different ways to get in there. Try this:
You will need a candle, a dark room and a comfortable place to sit and a journal. Give yourself a half hour of uninterrupted time.
1. Set yourself up in a comfortable seated position -- in an area free of clutter.
2. Place the candle on a table or on the floor directly in front of you, about two feet away.
3. Create as much darkness in the room as possible.
4. Light the candle.
5. Looking at the flame, take three deep long breaths. Remember to start with the exhale -- completely emptying out your lungs.
6. Now, continuing to look into the flame, begin to observe the candle's physical components. Observe the top of the flame. Observe the color of the bottom of the flame. Observe where the wick is exposed. Observe as much as you can. An observation is "the top of the flame is lighter than the bottom," "the burned wick is black" or "the shape of the flame is tear-dropped."
Caution -- there is no judgment here. A judgment is a thought that places your personal bias over the observation. Like "I like the color of the candle," "the flame isn't big enough" or "I feel ridiculous."
Just so you can feel the difference, experiment with a string of judgment statements. Go ahead and make as many judgments as you can about the candle.
7. Now, go back to the observations. You can use the same ones you used before.
8. Now, in the place of observation -- tap into your own wisdom. Ask yourself the questions you would pose to a spiritual teacher.
9. When you are ready, turn on a light and free-write on your question. If you did not have a questions, then free-write on your experience of going into observance.
It is when you are in a place of observation that the gateway to the "greater light" is open. This is something you can do every day. Try it when you are in a business meeting. Try it when you are stuck in traffic. Try it when you are on hold with your credit card company.
And now -- for something completely different and far more Vulcan:
Some of you respond better to pushing through your physical boundaries, to the point of exhaustion -- which also opens up the gateway to the "greater light." Try this:
You will need to wear comfortable sneakers and a sturdy bra, if you wear one. You will also need a timer and a journal.
Jumping Jacks. Yes. Jumping Jacks.
Six (6) minutes. Without stopping.
Perform Jumping Jacks for six minutes strait. When you get tired -- keep going!... even if you have to modify them -- don't stop moving. Push yourself through the point where you want to stop. Push yourself through the point where your body is telling you to stop. Keep going until the timer goes off.
Once the timer goes off, walk around for a minute to regulate your heart rate.
Now take three very deep breaths -- starting with the exhale. Completely empty your lungs.
Pick up your journal and start to free-write. As yourself the questions you would ask a wise teacher.
The Taurean choice is always one of values. What will you choose to see? The world of materiality and things or the world of beauty and light? And of course it's possible to see beauty in the manifested world! It's abundant! But we also have the opportunity in the time of Taurus to see clearly and deeply the beauty that interpenetrates everything and everyone.
Share with us what you are manifesting. We would love to hear (just email us or leave us a comment here on this blog)!
Coming up on the Horizon:
